The material retreads well-trod territory, and there's precious little original advice. Readers are encouraged to pay it forward, never give up, do your best, and so on. Yet the fact that these aphorisms are couched in personal anecdotes saves the book. Nearly every story is excellently composed and straightforward; readers are sure to find something to connect with.
